How much do you charge?

From $1.5 to 2.0 per page. The price will increase if the manga is unusually wordy or if it will require additional image editing due to text style (text directly on image). The full cost of translation must be paid before I begin working on it. Larger works can be broken into parts and worked on separately if you prefer.

Transactions will be done via paypal.

What do you translate?

Japanese to English for manga. I mostly get commission requests for adult content, though.

How long do you take?

Depends. If it's a short chapter, I can get it done in a day or two if there aren't anything else in my backlog.

China Bastard Beats Up Pregnant KFC Branch Supervisor

source

As quoted from the source site:

Based on the story at the end of the video, this is how it happened. On 20th Dec, around 4pm afternoon, a female called in KFC to order an ice cream cone, for delivery, to a internet cafe. It is not inside the list of items for delivery, so she was rejected. Few minutes later, a male called in and asked why KFC couldn’t deliver the ice cream cone, in very fierce way. Upon rejection, the male started cursing and swearing at the staffs. He “ordered” the KFC staff to deliver the ice cream cone to internet cafe immediately. The staff hung up the phone call. At around 4.12pm, what in the video happened. The supervisor was 2-month pregnant. The baby is safe now, but the man is still on the run.

There is no hope in the human race ;_;

in b4 sankaku posts it as well >:3

  1. well the guys in the back are just plain stupid for just standing there and not doing anything! She wouldn't have gone through the beatings in the first place if the guys int he back just summed up the courage to fight back and defend her instead of just watching and not doing anything.. cmon it's like what? 7 VS 1?

  9. I think people are getting the wrong message from this. It's not horrible b/c of what happened, it's horrible because of how many people were there and acted like idiots letting it happen.

  16. We humans have been this way forever Desu. Videos cameras like this only captures a portion of such scumlike (and cowardly) behavior that go on daily. We all have the potentail for good or evil though the latter seems more popular. Sadly I can only imagine how many people were abused and murdered since this year started...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Does KFC have magic ice cream or something?

I can't believe the goddamn employees are just standing around watching it happen. I mean I'd kinda understand it if you didn't know the person (maybe they deserved it), but to watch someone you see everyday get beat on and do nothing reveals character.

I can't even imagine how they could look the lady in the eye after this.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Phy

The bystander effect makes sense if the so called "bystanders" don't know the person being assaulted. This person was their coworker, they see her everyday. They've gotten to know her over time. Like others have already stated, the saddest part of this video isn't the guy beating the women, it's her coworkers not lifting a single finger to try to apprehend the assaulter. All they did was look down and walk away. It's pitiful. They're the scum in the video. Without a shadow of a doubt, if I was assaulted at work, my coworkers would have my back in heart beat, and I would have theirs. I'm not a sad piece of shit like the coworkers in the video.

  19. I think what's most pathetic about that, is that nobody helps out... Fucking employees are just like "Oh look he's coming back here again, I wonder if he forgot his wallet?"

    ReplyDelete
  20. @Fushi:
He probably did forget his wallet. He was probably trying to get her to tell him where it was.

  21. well i quite understand this girl, when i was young about 16 years old i was racketing in the bus on my way home by 2 guys and i'm hanging on with 2 dude about 5min try to keep my walkman (their haul) and nobody come to help me. I just couldn't forget the people who prefered to stay sit than help me. At least i leat them go with my walkman...
It was in france no heroes here i guess :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. wow wtf the entire fking staff needs to be fired ur gonna sit there and watch ur manager get beat up cos ur scared its like 10 of u vs 1 guy thats sad and pathetic and males for that the human race is pathetic at times

    ReplyDelete
  23. Why dont hte male employee punch him in the face X__X

    ReplyDelete
  24. The pregnant woman and her baby are both good now. That bastard had confessed his crime at local police station on Dec 20th and said he was drunk at that time.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's not that there's no hope in the human race. It just means that China must be purged~

    ReplyDelete
  26. wtf kfc doesnt deliver anything and thy dont have icecream cones so this guy was beating the shit out of her for no sensical reason while her employees watched and appeared to give the guy a hand up at times?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Probably in china, if they hit the customer, the boss might fire them or something. That's why no one helping the poor lady. Do they even train for this kind of situation? It's different culture really.... =/

    ReplyDelete
  28. @yami : Oh yeah? try it if you can purge all China. Don't forget you too lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. That was absolutely disgusting. I had to shut the video off once I saw that a) no one was lifting a finger to help the manager even though the guy had come all the way into the kitchen area to beat her, and b) the video still had about 4 minutes to go. I seriously hope that every single employee in that video besides the manager gets fired.

    ReplyDelete
  30. WTF!!!
Why the hell the employees are just standing around watching it happen?
    Are they crazy or what?
That guy does the same thing in my country
Man! after he hit the girl, only one time, that wil be his ticket for the hospital

    ReplyDelete
  31. fark i'm like rhadamantis in that I usually don't bother with comments but this incidence really pissed me off.

Not to excuse the rest of the KFC staff members for doing jack all, but I think a lot of us may not understand life in china is very harsh. It is not illogical for them to think and feel that whoever this asshole is probably has some connection with gangs. If they try to be a hero at that point in time, they fear they would most likely be beaten up instead at a later time. Its hard to believe but life in china is like that and social security is really poor.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I understand a lot of the outrage coming from people. There are two major factors at play here.

First off, it's the personal illusion. Everyone wants to believe they are brave. But in all honesty, everyone also hopes to never be thrust into a situation where you have to be brave. It is very easy to watch the video and say, "I woulda" this or "They shoulda" that. Until you are in the line of fire, it is fantasy to believe you could say exactly how you would act. It's the same effect when you watch a fictional movie and you see the "cowardly" soldier sitting on the beach trying to hide instead of advancing forward. You yell at the screen "OMG MOVE UP, I WOULD MOVE UP". Would you? I would piss myself and shit my pants. In the end, I would like to say I would do something too. I would like to think everyone would. But it is clear not everyone would and it is impossible to say if you would.

Second, the culture is completely different. As a westerner or even a westernized Asian (like myself), you are taught to dream the dream, to stand up for yourself. As far as I understand, at least from my parents and grandparents, China and most of the traditional Asian countries teach a different set of ideals. In the west, you are you. In the east, you are part of "us". You are taught to be more docile. You are taught not to rock the boat. If you're Asian yourself and were raised by traditionalist parents or grandparents, you know this. Even with westernized Asians, you have the stereotype amongst non-Asians that the asian males are "weaker" or "quieter". You respect authority rather than question authority. While I agree that this sort of thinking needs to go (aka purge China, at least the old generations of ridiculous traditionalists), this is how it is and has been.

  33. "There is no hope in the human race ;_;"

Congratulations DesuDesu, you just learned what I've known all my life.
Though It's only times like this that I think we should all be nuked from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree with some of what corsair said.

But the whole purge traditionalists thing is some what wrong since traditionally people are taught to be selfless and help others that are in need of help. However, the way society over there shapes people into thinking about themselves first before acting. If doing something does not benefit them personally then most likely they won't do it.

This incident for example, if the employees got into a fight with the attacker and got injured, (Keep in mind that anyone working at a KFC in China is most likely not from a well off family.)then they would most likely have to take time off work, pay for their own medical bills, talk to the police, if the attacker was connected to gangs, they would come for revenge etc etc. With that said, I personally think they should have done something, but wishing does not control or change other people.
Honestly, if anything is to blame is the cultural revolution, and I guess people caring too much about themselves and not enough about others.

This does not only happen in China, next time you see a fight on the street, look to see how many people will break up the fight. Last time I saw one it was zero.

    ReplyDelete
  35. corsair its hard to believe that chivilary doesn't exist in Asian countries. The people in that store are just cowards, probably didnt want to bother helping her at all. If the guy had a gun I could understand the whole not trying to be brave act (he didnt show one). Protecting women from dangerous things (including people) should be universal by now. This whole incident reminds of an article about a women who was chased and stabbed to death in NY (happened a long time ago). For blocks the women called for help, but no one came to her aid. Everybody can't be a hero, but in a situation like this one wasn't necassary.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Nobody move his (her) ass to help the woman

  37. The result of fap-deficiency syndrome ?'

Anyway, the girl who ordered the ice cream to the internet cafe should be interrogated as well.. This s.o.b guy is her boyfriend right ?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Those KFC staff are morons. NO guts to protect a defenseless women

    ReplyDelete
  39. There's a trick to overcoming the bystander effect: take control of the situation by acting like you're in charge. YOU call the police, YOU THERE help me grab him, etc...

If "somebody ought to do something," nobody will do anything, but if YOU (YES, YOU!) need to help RIGHT NOW, chances are you'll try your best.

PS: No, I don't think I could actually pull it off in that situation. I'm just an Internet Tough Guy.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nobody mentioning about the LOL moments in the video?
Like when that customer is silently taking her tray away, maybe thinking; "oh noes! crazy raging fucker gonna get cashier machine shrapnel in mah chickkens!", then proceeds to move tray to the end line and continues waiting for her side dish o' fries.
Or when the criminal scum actually slips on something, doing an amusing little hammer-time slide, on his way out.

Those caught my attention more than the supervisor getting kicked in the face... I feel kinda bad.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The fact that the woman's coworkers didn't do anything is just beyond ridiculous. I hope they all get fired for letting it all happen.

    Thanks.

  44. Likely, there are different societal norms in China. If we assume that no outstanding individuals of moral righteousness or justice stood among those bystanders, perhaps we can assume that a different behavior is prescribed when such events occur?

In "Elsewhere": That guy is picking on someone! I'm gonna take him down because it's the right thing to do.

In China: That guy is picking on someone! If I get involved though, I may go to jail or be sued! What are the chances I can take on this guy anyway? Other people probably won't help me... I can't afford to take such a risk.

Just hypothetically... There is nothing to say that this video wasn't wrong though.

  45. Corsair i truely understan what u say , i been on the fire line before and i dont just talk when i say i gonna tear him up. I understan that their culture and their live expirience dont let them make a move , but if you see not a ramdon person beating but your boss , do you truely dont feel nothing on your hard , what you do with those emotion, will make u human , not standing like a fuking dog , i hate those fuckers ,their less then humans in my eyes , i can undestan them if i put myself on their shoes and see their life, but this burning in my heart is not from culture its something that human have born with, they dont have becouse they do nothing , they are part of the high % of people that are machines woking for the system , they are no human . 47. unless the translations are wrong, I believe the dude beat up the female manager to the point where she MISCARRIED!! If that's the case, then I hope the bastard is charged with manslaughter! Also, new video from source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RwLpCJx1Z0

  48. Stupidity and filthy people aren't just local to China. I recall a woman in the States several years ago who called 911 over getting the wrong order from a McDonalds (or maybe a Burger King). As for the staff, welcome to the human race. Psychological and sociological tests over decades have shown that A. people are and probably always will be willing to torture and kill and B. if they see someone on the ground outside they probably won't check to see if they're alright. This is why I'm a cynic, I'm guaranteed that sooner or later the world will prove me right.

    ReplyDelete
  49. It is very disturbing, I must say.
I agree with "That Guy","corsair," and "omegaslash." That is exactly what I think.
The coworkers should call the cop at least.
For "saint_cyril," relax, the fetus is OK according to the video.
The video mentioned the female manager had signs of miscarry at the beginning. At the end, the fetus is OK but she needed to stay in hospital for observation.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I swear I didn't see the source for that video. I understand now.

    ReplyDelete
  51. They couln't even restrain him, of course, women (& children) are considered second class citizens in most of the world. He should be charged w/ attempted murder. If I were here I'd fire EVERYONE there who didn't help.

It's not just China though. UN peacekeepers never use their guns to save the innocent from genocide. Rwanda, Srebinicia, Darfur, UN never does it's job. I have friends who have a bigger weapons budget than the entire UN! I have personally fired more bullets on the range in an hour than the WHOLE UN fires in a decade!

I guess those guys'd let their wives, sisters, moms & daughters get beaten like that too. There's a thing called 'Chivalry', but it's the rarest resource in the world.

But where the HELL was the DAMNED secret police?! This sort of chaos isn't supposed to happen in a dictatorship. It's bad publicity! It only 'happens' in Capatalist Democracies! ^_- Honestly, why does China have the internet? it's bad for the health of the regime.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Seems the video is removred,(chixxxe govern, puah!) but i can guess from comments what happened, well, there is anotehr monster in the video, in my country is called "omertà", in eng can be translated in "conspiracy of silence", this monster grow where there is ignorance, egoism cowardliness, govern neglect, and, he also feeds from hate, just remeber how Ghandi wins his war, evry1 should remeber, noviolence, expecialy for womens, can't think about on pregnant womens... that's all.

    ReplyDelete
  53. RE: corsair, if u are afraid to fight,or coward(personally, if i see a woman being mistreated i don't think about consequences, i just feel the rage grow), you can just call(is perhaps even better idea) for police or ambulance.
RE:rhadamantis don't be so angry, violence people is son of violence people, both are victim, maybe the aggressor in this video too, if u get what i mean. Education maybe can be the only way...

    ReplyDelete
  54. never underestimate the power of herd mentality and diffusion of responsibility, and also never underestimate the possibility of the other extreme occuring.

i believe there was a BBC article a long while back describing an incident where a student (this was also in China) witnessed the cops roughing up some girl, and beaned one of them with a brick. well, anyway that ended up causing a riot but does show how things swing both ways.

i also wouldn't chalk the deletion as being some state action. there's plenty of this stuff floating around that doesn't get taken down, plus I'm sure the woman's family (or KFC, for that matter) could certainly have objected to having such a tragic incident plastered all over the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @skyboy

If you read the information on the source's website, there's an update saying the local police are investigating, and that there were signs of a miscarriage.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thing is, China encourage man to do this sort of thing to women, because social right are nothless at other country level.
Even a female manager is a rarity and, furtermore, this guy is probably a gang man, so he's accustomed to do what he please.

I read most people state: "if i was here..." but chinese medium worker is (must be to keep work) submissive.
You don't work for fast-food if you are less than submissive, so people here cannot find a way to react, is theyr nauture.

Also, the man is not on the run, he simply got stopped then relased by local police. Local newspaper tell you this.

    ReplyDelete
  57. i laugh at everyone who says that the crowd should of stepped in and protected her

is a random pregnant woman worth your family member's life?

retaliatory gang violence is how it's played in china; they will make you suffer the most and in a way that you can't stop them.

when your mother, girlfriend, sister, wife, or daughter gets raped will it comfort them to hear that it happened because you wanted to save a stranger from a beating?
