*can't believe I'm gonna be playing this weeaboo card game for real. Please tell me I'm not the only ronery person playing this shit ;_; :
**but Zathael-kun, it already is available in English:
sweet, disgaea battle cards XD
ReplyDeleteseeing how many fan of nippon ichi games there are out there, I can say for sure you're not the only one
Sweet Mother of God, I just discovered that at least some of the cards will be available in English. From what I understand, they are going to release some starter decks in English, maybe just to see how well they sell before doing English booster packs and such. I know I will never play it, but I will probably buy the English decks just so I can put the cards in an album and look at them. I might even buy some of the Japanese cards as well if they are available in my area.
ReplyDeleteI am so lame.
@desudesu : don't worry, I'm playing Lycèe with 3-4 pals in France (I honestly think we represent at least 50% of the Lycèe's player in France) so yeah, you're not the only one outside Japan... Quite difficult though since our japanese level is quite low.
ReplyDelete@foducool : that's Weiss&Schwarz TCG, not a Disgaea TCG (featuring characters from it among others)
@Zathael : Sauce ? I don't think my budget will allow me to buy WS TCG in addition to the Lycèe but well, I'll eat noodles if needed~
Crap. My internet connection sucks balls tonight and so I can't get Google to work right, I have to use Yahoo.com's search engine. Turns out the webpage I was looking at about the "soon to be released" English cards was from several months ago. Apparently, they only released one deck, the Disgaea deck, in English and are already sold out. Anyone know if I am missing something, and there are more cards still available in English?
ReplyDeleteSo wait what theme TCG is this? Since Mereck said "featuring characters from it among others" is it all like one BIG card game with TypeMoon, Persona, Nippon Ichi, Idolmaster and whatnot game or is each "game/anime/manga" separate?
ReplyDelete@Anon of Cro : Weiss&Schwarz features many series, you've got the listing on their officiel website : http://ws-tcg.com/jsp/cardlist (in Japanese, but random clicks should do the stuff).
ReplyDeleteThe other one I'm playing is Lycèe, but it's much more specialized in Visual Novels (having some Type-Moon decks, some Key decks, etc...) with the only exception being Kanokon (I think this is the only one). Here is their listing : http://www.lycee-tcg.com/card.html
Pettan, pettan, tsurupetta!!
ReplyDeleteWeissSchwarz has an anime i think, though being a toy game, did not touch. Interesting that they have cards of quite a lot of series
ReplyDelete@card_expert : "Weiss Survive", this one is quite funny, liked it~
ReplyDeleteGod, everything's a card game now. I'm just waiting for Hello Kitty.
ReplyDeleteNice doujin, but those Disgaea cards look sweet!! Have to find a way to collect them :3
ReplyDeleteIf you're ever in GA, we'll have to see which deck wins, Nanoha or Disgaea. Awesome work as always; please keep up the good work. ^_^
ReplyDeletethe first powerpuff girls z translated doujin? nice! thank you
ReplyDeleteZero: Neither. I copy the decks that emerged as winners in tournaments >:3
ReplyDeleteOH FUCK YES THANK YOU
ReplyDeleteThat was amusing as hell.
ReplyDeletedesudesu: Ah. See, all I's gots right now is the Nanoha pre-con.I need to find a cheap place to import these cards to feed my addiction. That and their sleeves...
ReplyDeleteOh... this is something new. At least to me :P
ReplyDeleteGo power Puff O.O
ReplyDeleteBtw..in mi country that weirdo card game do not exist..( T_T ) u have mi total support in that card game >.<
I'm surprised it took this long to get translated really.
ReplyDeleteYou have my thanks DesuDesu.
Weeaboo card games? Sounds intense. I wish I could find enough people to play it but as of now I guess MTG will have to suffice.
ReplyDeleteafkazar: yeah, it's intense alright. Intense and embarrassing. Like what a cardan friend of mine said, I'd never want to be seen playing the weeaboo card game in public. At least MtG is about western fantasy that's more mainstream and more acceptable to the public eye =3=
ReplyDeletezero: importing is never cheap. Expect spending around $20~30 on shipping for a bunch of cards, depending on how far away you live from Japan, and how heavy the total weight is. I ordered mine here:
http://www.1999.co.jp/search_e.asp?Typ1_c=110&scope=0&scope2=0&urikire=1&itkey=weiss+schwarz
Desudesu: Yeah, that seems the cheapest place, but there's a place based out of CA called Toyslogic that charges like 20 for the decks, but they do flat rate. It just annoys me cuz all I really want are the sleeves and a pack of sixty costs over 3x to ship than to buy. T_T Ah well, what can you do when you're addicted?
ReplyDeletePersonally i've been playing this card game since Kaede roped me in to play it last november (though i had the cards since may/june last year). Now i'm hosting offical tournaments for Bushiroad tournaments in Singapore. The fanbase is building up really rapidly here amongst others.
ReplyDeleteit´s quite a pain is the arse for me to even try to get them...because i live to danm far away to jap...
ReplyDeleteand i have a good example to say that; i bougth a bishoujo* game from peachprincesss and cost me like 50U$ss..only a simple game.......so figure it if i try to buy the cards xD
