ReplyDeleteHonestly, it's good to see that the judge was reasonable. This guy did break the law, so the judge HAD to convict him. Since he's actually harmless, he got only the minimum sentence, which is 2 weeks in jail.
ReplyDeleteNow imagine a judge who needed to prove that he was "tough on crime" had gotten the case.
Of course, it's little comfort for the convict, since everyone else is gonna break out the torches and pitchforks upon finding out that he once thought dirty thoughts (which, due to the sex offender's registry, they probably will)
Even if you think the laws are too strict, you can't fault the judge for applying them as written.
Canada apparently has one of the toughest if not the toughest stances on "child exploitation" and yet we dole out some rather short sentences compared to countries like the US when a similar crime committed.

Judging by the Fact alone, that such normal Porn is having the Charactrs story-wise underage, does also make those Porn-Actors, -Producers, -Scriptwriters, -Directors etc. automatically guilty in the same way.
But I think, I didn't get the News of them going to jail, did you?
